When is the best time to view the Falls?
The best time to view the spectacular Victoria Falls is from February to May, directly after the summer rains. During that period, you will be able to see the world’s largest sheet of falling water at its greatest volume. Nevertheless, the falls are still majestic between October and December which is low water and a great photographic period.
What is the weather like in Victoria Falls?
During the summer months which are from September to March are hot and can be rather humid, often with a chance of mesmerising thunderstorms in the late afternoon. The winter months from May to August are generally mild and dry with a chance of a cold breeze in the evenings and early mornings.
Where can I book activities?
Activities can be booked at our reception desk which is open from 7am to 10pm or with any of our front of house staff. Any activities we may book for you will be charged to your room and can be settled upon check out.
How do I get from the border or airport to the Lodge?
We can arrange a transfer for you to and from the lodge. There are also taxis and car hire available.
What currency is used?
The United States dollar is the most commonly used currency in Zimbabwe, other currencies such as Rand, Pula, Euro and Pounds are accepted. You will also be able to use your Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately, at the moment cash can not be drawn from any of the ATMs.
Can I drink the tap water?
The water at Batonka is purified and safe to drink from the tap, we do also provide bottled water in your room.
What power points are used?
The power points are 220V, and standard 3 pin square plugs are used. We do have universal wall adapters in every room.
Is there Internet access?
Batonka Guest Lodge has WIFI which is accessible from anywhere on the property.
